What Does it Take to Organize an Indian Wedding in Canada?
Having an Indian wedding in Canada is pretty similar to what you will have back home. Some basic requirements, such as venue and reception, food and catering, photography, and videography, take a chunk off your budget. However, if you like the glams and fanfare of a typical Indian-themed wedding, you migt need to budget for bands and other expenses. Here are what you need to cater for;
Venue & Reception
Assuming you have 250 guests, you might want to budget between $13,000 - $15,000, depending on your preferred location, services and hall capacity.
Food & Catering
For a buffet lunch, expect to spend between $25 - $35 per person, and a full dinner can be around $80 or more, depending on your choice. 250 guests for an Indian wedding could cost around $20,000.
Photography & Videography
Capturing the magical moment should be at the heart and centre of your Indian-themed wedding. The food, the dances, and the exchange of marriage rituals will all become a distant memory without a professional wedding photographer on the ground to capture the beautiful memory.
