LUCY AND COREY’S VANCOUVER WEDDING AT SWANESET BAY RESORT
Lucy and Corey’s wedding was one of my favorite events to photograph last year. Not only because of the obvious love and happiness between the couple but also because of the magical location.
Swaneset Bay Resort is a Chateau-style wedding venue with beautiful coastal mountain views. It was the second wedding I’ve attended here and I’m always excited to photograph a wedding against such a stunning backdrop.
There are endless opportunities to create incredible images. After a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, we arrived at the resort for some photography as planned. During our pre-wedding meetings, it was decided to use the two-hour window between the ceremony and reception to take more images for Lucy and Corey’s wedding album.
We stopped in the driveway to take a nice series of walking shots next to the limousine. At that moment, the external lighting was in the perfect position for me to capture the romantic mood. And this was just the beginning.
The party started and the atmosphere was festive and lively. The couple made a great entrance to much cheering and applause from their guests. Lucy changed out of her beautiful wedding gown and into an evening dress for their first dance as husband and wife.
My goal at each wedding is simple – not only to meet expectations but to exceed them. I took advantage of each small opportunity to connect with the bride and groom throughout the night to ensure I was capturing their special moments, and nothing was being missed. The night continued with lots of celebration, dancing, and joy. It was great to see everyone having such a good time.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to Lucy and Corey for letting me be part of such a special and memorable day. It was my pleasure to document all your memories for you and your family. I wish you nothing but happiness in your future together. Congratulations!
I would also like to take a moment to give my appreciation to the wedding coordinator and the team at Swaneset Bay Resort. The day went very smoothly and the level of attention that went into the decorations, flowers and the fine details was amazing.
